My Story

Music has always been the way I connect —
to people, places, and moments.

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m a Mackinaw City native, and I grew up surrounded by songs, stages, and the hum of live performances across Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

As a kid, I tagged along with my dad — a local music legend — hauling cables, helping set up, and soaking in every moment. He gave me my first piano and lessons at age ten, brought me on stage as a teenager to sing harmonies, and bought me my first guitar when I was seventeen.

From early solo wedding gigs in my twenties to performing several nights a week in acoustic duos and rock bands by my thirties, music has always been my constant. I’ve spent decades sharing songs in bars, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, weddings, and backyard gatherings — always with heart and intention.

Today, my true joy lives in the simplicity of an acoustic guitar, a microphone, and a room full of people ready to connect through music. I love creating feel-good moments — songs you can sing along to, smile through, or reminisce with.

Music has also become a family tradition, and I’m grateful to sometimes share the stage with the next generation: my percussionist son, my son who brings Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra to life, or my niece who plays guitar and bass and sings alongside me. Depending on the venue, I can perform solo or bring one of these family pairings for a unique, memorable experience. It would be an honor to fill your space — whether it’s a cozy café, lively brewery, wedding, festival, or private gathering — with live acoustic music.
